Life of Pi
Welcome to CSB in the School of BIS - we will be using this blog as a way for us to communicate as we journey into the adventure of Pi Patel.
By Sunday, May 3rd I would like each of you to be finished through Chapter 45. I will be posting requirements on this blog site often, so please check it daily.
This evening, Monday April 27, I will post up some work.
Your first assignment will be to do the following:
Read the author's note and look at the cover of your book. Describe in a comment on this blog what you feel this book will be about.

Alright so after reading the Author's note, and taking a careful look at the cover I believe I have some understanding about what this story will be about. I believe that it is about the journey of Pi who somehow gets lost, and has a journey of self discovery. Also the cover seems to say that he has a tiger for a friend, or is crazy.
I just finished reading the author's note. The section suggests that Pi is a native from India. He will encounter people from places like Japan on a journey through Asia with his pet tiger(which is known from the front cover).
Who is crazy? The tiger or Pi?
Anything about the great story/adventure boys? Has it piqued your interest?
I will post an assignment on Wednesday - I would like each of you to read for enjoyment (or at least 20 minutes a day, which hopefully will be enjoyable).
You are each welcome to post comments on comments - you should also always read the other members words - Okay?
Yes, this has made me want to read the book and figure out what it's about. Also, I think Kyle ment Pi is crazy. The tiger may be just in Pi's mind.
I will read others comments
Well I have never known a tiger to be in a boat with a person so at first I was thinking Pi might have created the tiger. I agree with Melbo the adventure has definitely gotten my attention for this story.
Also I will read over the others comments.
What I can't figure out is why for one there is a tiger, and two what significance the boat has.
The boat could be sort of the protection barrier for Pi's journey? Still a tiger in a boat is interesting....
After reading the author's note and looking over the cover i think that the story takes place in southern india. I think the book is about the journey of a young boy named Pi. I think that along Pi's journey he may learn more about his faith and himself while meeting people from other countries. After looking at the cover many times I dont know where the tiger fits in. is the tiger a friend, a pet, or representing some other person?
Hey
Where is Shannon P? Anyone? Let me know.
I told her to make a comment, but i dont know if she has read the author's note yet.
Shannon was most likely abducted by aliens from another world!
What kind of aliens? I mean I don't think Vulcans would have much interest in humans. Highly illogical
i believe is wasnt vulcans but it could possibly be the work of wookies or the evil galactic EMPIRE!
No the wookies are just hairballs, and the Empire was overthrown by the Rebels at the battle of Endor. Come on Dylan us a little common knowledge.
I talked to Shannon today and she told me she posted, but I don't see the post anywhere. I don't think she was logged in when she fried to post. Shannon log in!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry I meant tried not fried
Oh my gosh I found the comment site! I'm so proud of myself!!! Kyle why don't you text me back>:( I have never use a blog before they are more complicated then I thought. Sorry, Mr. Rogan I think I broke it.
Ok so once again, I read the author's note. I beleive it is about a guy named Pi's life story at a zoo. Then some point in the story he will be on a boat with a tiger. Also, I will believe in god near the end of the story.
Oh and your all wrong it was the ewoks that got me.
Hate to break it to you Shannon, but you're to tall for the Ewoks to take.
Yeah but ewoks have those long sharp pokey stick thingies
The sharp pokey things are spears
I don't care what they are called they are still scary.
